GUEST CHEF
William Doran
William Doran is a licensed architect, educator, and food writer born in New Orleans and based in Brooklyn. He has spent most of his life stoking a passion for cooking and bringing people together through food. In 2021, he started publishing recipes, food stories, and a quarterly newsletter at adventurouscooks.com and began hosting virtual and in-person cooking classes the following year. Through demonstration and storytelling – including techniques, history, and a little comedy – William hopes his writing and teaching will empower everyone to cook.
He notes, “my vision is to help forge a more informed, curious, and adventurous eating public – opting to cook at home more than eat out, to learn about where food comes from, and to share their own knowledge and the food they’ve cooked with their friends, family, and loved ones.” William is a volunteer chef educator with Chefs for Impact and has been a member of the Park Slope Food Coop since 2022.
