Ingredients

  • 2 extra large egg whites

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 6 oz chocolate, melted

  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract

  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

  • 1/2 c chopped walnuts

Directions

  • On electric mixer:
  • Beat egg whites until stiff ( not quite as stiff as for meringue).
  • Gradually beat in sugar.
  • Fold in remaining ingredients.
  • Drop by teaspoon onto parchment-lined baking sheets.
  • Bake at 350 until they puff up and don’t look wet (approximately 10 minutes). Watch carefully.
  • They freeze very well and be eaten straight from freezer.
